As some of you know, my 2011 LT 5.3/6L80 suddenly started occasionally 'bucking', just like a random misfire. It ended up being the torque converter coming apart, and the only sign when dropping the pan was a film of aluminum 'dust' at the rear of the deepest part of the pan. The magnet had nothing more than normal fuzz on it.
This will show if you're having transmission problems. There would be metal flakes in the fluid. I will be following this recommendation within the weeks to.come. I have a 2020 Silverado Custom, tranny failed at 37k and was in shop for 2 weeks getting rebuilt.
