The Dillon press makes it easy to keep up. I can easily make 400-600 rounds an hour. That includes time spent loading primers (with a vibraprime) and also case checking each round. This machine is fantastic. When i was looking for loaders the common wisdom was to buy a single stage press, learn how to load, then sell it and buy a Dillon XL650.

I was basically spending 3-4 evenings to load 300 rounds of 9mm on the Rock Chucker. After getting a 550, I was loading 300 rounds in under an hour. Huge difference. I do use a Dillon 450(yes that is right- the original Dillon progressive) purchased in 1984 for all my handgun ammo and am very satisfied with the results.
