Yep. I keep getting the same lag every night around the same time since Monday. It's a good thing my static split up the week before last or I'd be unable to raid right when raid time hits. I'm trying to look for a new one, but I keep getting this lag right around the same time every night. I have to go play other games because they don't lag.

The nature of the spikes makes it seem like a latency issue, but it only started recently, only seems noticeable in instanced content, and when I ran a speedtest my ping was only 8ms and my download/upload were excellent.
A packet loss occurs when the packet data generated from your gaming hardware or the response packet data from the FFXIV server is lost on the internet path. A packet loss can cause your game screen to stop for a few seconds, or make it feel like your game is frequently lagging.
If your ping is high you'd need to reposition earlier for most TOP mechanics. Also if your ping fluctuates your actions will still get canceled in some cases with Clippy/Alex. Could try VPN to see if it's a routing issue but otherwise I think you're out of luck.
