I have a cheap lasko heater fan that I am trying to get to turn on in the mornings to help get me out of bed when my alarm clock goes off in my drafty apartment. I have it plugged into a smart plug that turns on automatically in the mornings, but the fan must have a safety setting that makes you have to manually turn it on.
