From researching, many riders were getting 5,000 to even 9,000 miles out of their cranks. Some took the time to remove the PTO seal and grease the bearing, while others did not, and were lucky. Brp knows but these 850 are far from 4 stroke reliability. Probably better than the old 800 mills, but still not great for a 25k initial purchase price. It all depends on how much you ride. 9600kms could be a lifetime for some riders and they will praise the motor.Fixed the Electronic Fuel gage on my 1998 Ski-Doo Grand Touring 583 ! That is a 100 / 155 spring. The 1200 primary spring was Yellow / Orange, which is rated 110 / 190 and they used the same ramps. If the primary clutch is kept from getting too hot the grease lasts the 600 hours no problem. When the motor gets too hot the life span goes down.
