Shop Rite has been around North Jersey since before I was born. Some of my earliest memories are of going to Shop Rite with my father when I was 4 years old. How can I say anything bad about it. A fun aspect of Shop Rite is their jingle they have for their twice yearly "Can Can" sale. Who can forget that if you are from New Jersey?
The produce department is another reason this couldn't be a 5 star review. Every Sunday they run out of so many items. Today no cilantro and bananas. Anyone in the produce business will tell you bananas is what brings the customers to end up purchasing other items. It just seems like the produce manager is not doing his or her job correctly.The new ShopRite at 250 River Road is wonderful‼ No comparison to the former one. A completely different store. It's huge with wide aisles, well lit shelves, super clean, much more product and variety. Great prices too. A cafe area to sit, ready made meals (cold & hot) to go.
