6 Posts. #47 · Apr 19, 2010. 2004 blinking "D" no codes. My 2004 "D" light just started blinking as well. Ody has 87000. Local transmission shop hooked it up to a reader and said there was no transmission code, just a generic engine code p0700. Fluid level is fine. fluid looks reddish grayish.

Grey or burnt fluid is an indication of the transmission failing. My light was blinking (2002 EX). The computer code said it was a failed transmission temp sensor. When I took it to the dealer they found bad (grey and burnt) fluid, metal pieces in the pan and eventually replaced the transmission.
