Or if you still have the oem black plastic skid plate/diversion panel it could be loose and flapping. Good luck! Ok, if there is an issue with the lifter or a valve issue inside the engine, it's normally going to run a little bit rough. I would probably have a second shop take a look. It could be an exhaust leak causing the noise, or possibly a timing chain tensioner. Another possible cause could be the timing chain.
