Following Disney and Lucasfilm's decision in 2012, the games and additional materials covering the Old Republic were all placed under the non-canonical Legends banner.

Kotor also doesn't look good next to totj, the tech feels very different and then after that the tech feels very much the same all the way up till Legacy. I suggest that a Canon Kotor is either much further up along the Old Republic(maybe closer to High Republic, but still pre Bane) or they place it after the Sequels.Personally, had it been up to me, both endings to Kotor would be "canon" in a manner of speaking. Revan's identity as a man or woman would be left ambigous, and how Kotor ended, would be a matter of debate among historians in the Empire and Republic, and people who still know of the name of Revan, would have their own opinion who Revan was, and what actually happened with him/her.
